About the Author
Kenneth W. Fulford is a distinguished artist and photographer whose career reflects decades of dedication to both the visual arts and public service. A proud alumnus of Hampton University, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Art in 1979.
During his time at the university, he was honored with the Honors Council Award for Outstanding Achievement in Art for the 1978–79 academic year, recognizing his exceptional artistic talent and commitment to his craft.
Over more than twenty years in art and photography, Kenneth refined his skills under the mentorship of respected artists and creatives, including Dr. Lorraine Bolton (color theorist and painter), Janice Orr (Sculptor and water colorist), and Robert Rodeck (Fine art photographer and Filmmaker) . These formative experiences helped shape his artistic vision and technical expertise, leading to a successful career in both fine art and professional photography, including extensive work in technical photography and studio environments.
In addition to his artistic achievements, Kenneth dedicated more than thirty years of service to the state of North Carolina, primarily with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, where he served as Program Coordinator II. In recognition of his outstanding contributions and service, he was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest civilian honor presented by the Governor of North Carolina.
Today, Kenneth continues his creative journey as a freelance art photographer, producing compelling imagery informed by his formal education, distinguished mentorship, and decades of professional experience.
